Thank you to everyone who joined us for our celebration assemblies this afternoon. It was lovely to end a busy term with the children sharing their learning with family and friends.
We wish everyone an enjoyable and relaxing half term break.
We are delighted to be taking part in the St Barnabas Heart Trail. Our heart has been made and decorated and is now on its way to be part of the trail. Thank you to FOSSA for support with the funding for the heart.
Every class took part in a tag rugby wow day with Premier Education on Friday. The children learnt new skills, played games and had lots of fun.
At lunchtime yesterday we held the final match of our house bench ball tournament. It has been great to see so many children taking part in the tournament, some playing in their first ever competition.
Congratulations to Willow who were the overall winners!
Today we celebrated National Numeracy Day in school. The children were lucky enough to participate in live streamed numeracy events, maths quizzes and exciting competitions!
Well done to everyone who took part in our Music Extravaganza this evening. The children’s performances were fantastic and filled with pride, fun and enthusiasm. Thank you to our wonderful audience and all the staff who helped to make the night a success.
Thank you to Sturton by Stow Parish Council for the donation of a mug for every child and to FOSSA for the donation of a special badge for every child and adult in school to celebrate the coronation of King Charles.
We had a lovely day celebrating the coronation of King Charles. We enjoyed watching each class perform songs from the decades of his life, a picnic (inside due to the weather) and lots of red, white and blue outfits.
We held our inter-house bench ball tournament after school today. It was fantastic to see so many of our children taking part (some in their first ever sports competition) and to have such great support from families and friends.
In assembly on Friday we had our latest mystery reader. Thank you to our Chair of Governors, Rebecca Andrews, for Reading ‘Farmer Duck’ by Martin Waddell.
