Lancasters and Spitfires have loved their Game of Actual Life sessions with Premier Education over the last few weeks. They have learnt about lots of aspects of adult life including; managing their finances, buying or renting a house, applying for jobs and opening a business.
All classes have been taking part in fun maths activities today as part of National Numeracy Day. They have loved learning about all different areas of maths and why maths is such an important part of everyday life.
We have had an amazing first day working with Gareth Baker as our Patron of Reading. Each class spent time with Gareth, and then we finished the day with a whole school assembly (virtually), where the children shared what they had been doing. We can’t wait for the next time!
This week has been Mental Health Awareness Week, and all of the children have taken part in lots of activities focusing on their mental health and on connecting with nature.
Over the last two days, every class in school has taken part in ultimate frisbee sessions. They loved learning new skills and taking part in some healthy competition.
There may be no SATs this year, but we didn’t want Year 6 to miss out on one of the Year 6 traditions...
