Modern Foreign Language (French)
At Sturton by Stow, French is taught from the start of key stage 2, students learn the language in a linear scheme where knowledge is developed and built upon gradually throughout their learning. French at Sturton-by-Stow allows children to develop their curiosity and understanding of the world through developing their: oracy, reading and writing of the language, French grammar and by using stories, songs, poems, and rhymes. Through the use of the Twinkl plan it French scheme, assessment is integrated into the lessons where teachers can help children develop their skills and understanding.
