Mrs Juliet Brookes - Chair of Governors

Statement:

I feel privileged to be a member of Sturton by Stow Primary School governing body. I work in education as a Research and Development leader. My ambition is that all our children reach their potential, that they experience excellent teaching and learning opportunities, and that there is a strong sense of community with opportunities for parents to engage in many aspects of school life.

 

Mrs Pamela Jenkins

Statement:

I have lived in the area for the last 12 years and currently have two children at Sturton by Stow Primary School. My background is in finance and management, and I draw on these areas of experience in fulfilling my role as a governor. I have a real passion to see that the school performs to the best of it's abilities for all of its pupils.

Statement: 

Having been a resident of Sturton by Stow for 15 years, I currently have three children at Sturton by Stow Primary School.  Throughout my involvement, I have developed a loyalty and sense of obligation towards the school and I strive for it to continue to inspire and achieve.
My experience of Building Design and Construction helps me to perform my duties as premises governor.  Both as a parent and a governor, it is great to be involved in such an amazing school.

Statement:

I have been the Head teacher at Sturton by Stow Primary School since January 2016, having previously been the Head teacher at a very small primary school. I enjoy leading our wonderful school and striving for excellence in everything we do. It is a privilege to work with a dedicated and supportive staff and a governing body who want every child in our school to achieve the very best they can.

Statement:

With a daughter in school and two younger children I have a long-term interest in school, hoping to help foster a positive and nurturing environment for everyone. With a background in midwifery I aim to advocate for parents and children, promoting their interests and ensuring they are at the centre of all decisions.

Statement:

As a former pupil, a life time resident of Sturton-By-Stow, and now a parent of a child at the school, I am proud to call this my school.  It’s great to be involved with the school and part of the governing body tasked with creating a fun, safe and engaging environment for the children to enjoy their school life. In my role as governor I try to call on my experience from my career in structural engineering as well as looking at all the possible for developing my skills and experience further.

Statement:

I have worked as a teacher at Sturton by Stow Primary School for over 10 years now and have been part of the senior leadership team, as assistant head, for around 5 years. I love working at Sturton and feel very privileged to teach here.  I enjoy being part of a supportive governing body, helping to ensure the staff views are represented and working as part of a team aiming to make Sturton the best it can be for the children in our community.

As a resident in the local area, I am delighted to be able to be part of such a wonderful school by serving on its Governor body. My background is in education as secondary science specialist; which will help me in fulfilling my role. I am passionate that all students are known as individuals, and receive the best possible opportunities to help them engage with, and develop a love of, learning.
