The Reading Ambassadors have really enjoyed working with our Patron of Reading, Matt Beighton today. They discussed their plans to develop reading across school and talked about how they are going to enhance the library.
We have had a wonderful first week back at school, with lots of fun learning, time in the sunshine with friends and new challenges.

Children from Tiger Moths to Spitfires worked with our Patron of Reading, Matt Beighton, over the last term. They contributed ideas, chapters and illustrations which have all come together in our fabulous spy story, ‘Lily Bonds and her Brother’.

We had a truly amazing time on our residential visit to York. We visited The Jorvik Viking Centre and Dig, went on a ghost tour of the city, visited The York Castle Museum, The York Chocolate Story, The National Railway Museum and had fun and games at the park.

Tornadoes, Lancasters, Hurricanes and Spitfires had their Sports Day on Monday. It was wonderful to see so many children taking part. Thank you to everyone who helped to run the afternoon and to everyone who supported the children. Well done to the overall winning house - Willow!
Over 60 children have taken part in our house scatterball competition this week - what a fantastic effort from all four houses! Well done to everyone who took part and congratulations to the winning house - Oak.
