We were delighted to deliver two trolleys of donations to Gainsborough Food Bank this morning. Thank you to everyone who made a donation, however small.
Our hall is filled with the children’s beautiful pictures and textile work ready for the annual Sturton Show tomorrow.
Our new Patron of Reading, Matt Brighton, visited school today. He created a fantastic collaborative story across school, working from Tiger Moths all the way up to Spitfires. We can’t wait to welcome him back on his next visit in November.
Spitfires spent today at the Lincolnshire Showground for a fantastic construction day. They were able to broaden their aspirations by trying out different trades. These included landscape gardening, dry wall building, extinguishing fires, electrical work and sculpture!
The children had a relaxing time at yoga club today.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our harvest festival this afternoon - it was lovely to see so many family and friends in school. Thank you also to everyone who donated to Gainsborough Food bank. We were blown away by the generosity of our school community.
It was great to welcome Emma from The Stay Safe Partnership into school this morning. Spitfires took part in an e-safety workshop learning about staying safe online, and Vulcans learnt about the ingredients they need to be a good friend in their friendship workshop.
Congratulations to our new house captains and school councillors, and well done to everyone who stood for election.
Over the last couple of days in school, the children have been learning about and reflecting on the life and reign of Queen Elizabeth II. They have shared their memories, their thoughts and their feelings.
We had a wonderful start to our new school year today. It was lovely to see lots of happy, smiling children enjoying their learning and spending time with their friends.
