At mini beast club the children met some stick insects. They learned about the life cycle of the insects and enjoyed spending some time meeting them and watching them explore.
We enjoyed a non-uniform day and Pudsey activities to celebrate Children in Need.

This week, our Year 5 and 6 children had a water safety lesson about staying safe in and around water. They were taught where it is safe to swim and how to stay afloat if they were to fall in. They thought it was great fun wearing their pyjamas in the water!
To mark the start of Anti-Bullying Week 2023, we took part in Odd Socks Day to celebrate that we are all different and special. In assembly we thought about the difference between bullying and banter.
Some of the Year 5 and 6 children have started practising the belle plates ready for Christmas.
For the first mini beast lunchtime club, the children in Years 4 and 5 were happy to meet Leaf, the jumping spider. There were lots of questions asked and facts shared.
The children in Swan’s Nest made tissue paper poppies in preparation for Remembrance Sunday.
We have had a wonderful day with our Patron of Reading, Matt Beighton. He spent time in each class taking about genres of books, discussing what books we like and why and reading stories.
