• York Residential

  We had a truly amazing time on our residential visit to York. We visited The Jorvik Viking Centre and Dig, went on a ghost tour of the city, visited The York Castle Museum, The York Chocolate Story, The National Railway Museum and had fun and games at the park.

  we had a wonderful few days and the children were a pleasure to spend time with.

  

• Sports Day Part 2

  Tornadoes, Lancasters, Hurricanes and Spitfires had their Sports Day on Monday. It was wonderful to see so many children taking part. Thank you to everyone who helped to run the afternoon and to everyone who supported the children. Well done to the overall winning house - Willow!

  

• House Scatterball Competition

  Over 60 children have taken part in our house scatterball competition this week - what a fantastic effort from all four houses! Well done to everyone who took part and congratulations to the winning house - Oak.

  

• Sports Day Part 1

  Tiger Moths, Red Arrows and Vulcans had a fantastic Sports Day on Monday. They took part in lots of races and were great at cheering on their houses. 
  Key Stage 2 have their Sports Day on Monday - the weather forecast looks good.

  

• FOSSA Summer Fayre

  Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Summer Fayre last Friday - we raised about £750!
  A huge thank you to FOSSA for all of their work behind the scenes preparing for the fayre and then for running it on the day, and to the children and staff for their help. 

  

• Football Tournament

  Last week we hosted our annual football tournament where we were joined by teams from several local schools. All four of our teams played brilliantly and were excellent ambassadors for our school. A special well done to our Year 6 team who won the Year 5/6 competition.

  

• Year 6 Play in a Day

  Year 6 had a wonderfully fun filled day of drama yesterday. They spent the morning enjoying drama activities. In the afternoon they rehearsed and then performed their version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to their families.

  

• Open Classrooms

  Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our final Open Classrooms of the year. The children loved being able to share their learning with family and friends. 
  We will send out the dates for next year in September.
