Pupil premium funding is an initiative to help to narrow the academic gap between all children and provide extra support where required. Each year the school receives an allocation of pupil premium funding. This is a sum of money that reflects the number of children in school who, statistics would suggest, might benefit from additional support to enable them to achieve their full potential. Sturton by Stow Primary school receives additional funding for children that receive Free School Meals, are (or have been) ‘looked after’ or are the children of parents that serve in the armed forces.
Sturton by Stow primary School is dedicated to ensuring that all of our pupils receive help, support and guidance according to their individual needs. This is first addressed through quality first teaching. In addition to teaching, we are able to offer additional support to vulnerable pupils.
