Headteacher’s Welcome

I warmly welcome you to Sturton-By-Stow Primary School. I am enormously proud to be part of this vibrant, happy, and caring school where children are firmly at the heart of everything we do.

Our school is a fantastic place to learn, play and work – in beautiful surroundings and at the centre of a supportive village community. Our core values are Learning, Caring, Friendship, Responsibility and Aiming High, which are fundamental to everything we do in school. Our ethos is represented in our vision statement which the staff, governors and children have created together: “Small enough to care, big enough to inspire.”

We pride ourselves on making this an inclusive school with a tight-knit, family feel and had a clear sense of belonging. As staff we can really get to know each child, and work to meet their needs to the best of our ability. We have high expectations for all the children, and we value every one of them as a unique part of our community.

The curriculum here is bright, lively, and creative. We believe in giving children a firsthand approach to learning, letting them experiment and experience activities which will inspire them to find out more. We take immense pride in celebrating all the talents and achievements of our children both in and out of school.

We aim to foster a lifelong love of learning and believe that our children deserve the absolute best as they start their learning journey with us, and we work in partnership with parents, carers, and members of our local communities to achieve that goal. An important part of our ethos is to value the partnership we have with parents, as we know that working closely together helps children to benefit fully from school.

Our website will give you a flavour of Sturton-by-Stow Primary school, but the best thing is to come and see our school in action for yourself. We look forward to meeting you.
