Welcome to Hurricanes class!
During our English lessons this term, we will be looking at The Haunting of Aveline Jones. This is a spooky thriller following a young girl who tries to uncover Malmouth's dark secret. This term we will be looking at how to write diary extracts, as well as how to create suspense in our writing.
In Maths, we will be looking at how to multiply 2, 3 and 4 digit numbers by 2 digit numbers. We will also learn short division.
Children will use their fluency, reasoning and problem-solving skills to answer questions daily.
In History, we will be learning about Ancient Greece. We will look at maps, their timeline, how they traded and the origin of the Olympic Games amongst other things.
In Science this term, we will look at space! This includes the planets in our solar system, why we have night and day, and different theories over time.
In P.E we will be concentrating on Circuit Training and Cricket.
